Our Vision

education, training, and personal development

Recognizing the significant challenges associated with homeownership, we are fully aware that preparation and planning are essential steps on the path to becoming a homeowner. In a city where 23% of New Orleanians currently live below the poverty line, a level well below our median household income, Phoenix Project Nola is committed to empowering our participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve financial stability and homeownership.

Our primary objective is to instill in our participants a profound understanding of the financial requirements involved in the journey to homeownership and to cultivate enduring financial habits that lead to sustainable lifestyles. In our collaborative efforts with all participants, we actively encourage and assist them in securing job placements that meet or exceed the median income level of $43,258. This strategic approach significantly enhances their prospects of achieving their goal of becoming homeowners in the future.

Erin Marrero-Savoie

MBA, Founder & Executive Director

Erin is a native of New Orleans and has been invested in helping aid women and children since she was a young girl watching her mother minister to those in need at Catholic Charities. She first realized a need for Phoenix Project while working in hospitality after completing her undergrad degree at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette when she realized she was more energized with aiding her staff with their personal growth than she was concerned if they actually worked their current jobs.

She saw the light in her teams eyes when growth plans were being developed for them that would help both them and their families for years to come. Phoenix Project was birthed in 2017 and has evolved as the city of New Orleans has to accommodate and help aid with the ever changing housing market in the city. Erin is a mother of two young boys and has a background in education and recruitment.
