At Phoenix Project Nola, we address housing needs in two unique ways.
Firstly, through collaborations with local non-profits, we assist in expanding their existing housing programs by designing and building tiny homes. Secondly, we are dedicated to our vision of creating sustainable and affordable tiny homes. Our goal is to establish New Orleans’ first tiny home community, offering affordable homeownership opportunities for residents within their means.
Tiny Home Village
Many cities across the United States have successfully implemented tiny homes and tiny home villages. At Phoenix Project Nola, we stand out by using industrial hemp as our primary building material. This choice is both sustainable and economically friendly, ensuring that the homes we build will be affordable for New Orleanians. Our mission is to foster community and culture through the development of New Orleans’ first tiny home community, with homes available for purchase. Stay tuned for more details coming in early 2025.
Building Partnerships
At Phoenix Project Nola, we thrive on partnerships and community. Our very first tiny home is being built in collaboration with a non-profit organization that needed a model to expand their existing housing program. We are actively seeking other non-profits to partner with in building tiny homes to support individuals in transitional periods, whether they are returning from incarceration, currently unhoused, or part of the LGBTQ+ community. We understand that any life transition can be challenging, and secure housing is essential to easing these transitions.
